Cathe Nghêl

Like all Muiri the Cathe Nghêl are descendants of the Children of the Forest who first inhabited Cuiveinen. Like the Otherkin the Cathe could once found all over the mainland, but it has been a long time since they have been heard from as a people. Some of them can be found in small clusters in Underhill, going by the name of Meer. The name is said to be a shortened form of "a meer shadow of themselves", or perhaps because the Cathe, unlike most normal cats love the water.

Unlike the Otherkin the Cathe have two natural forms; that of a cat and that of a humanoid with cat-like physical traits. They are able to glamour but spend more of their time as a cat rather than holding the glamour of a normal human. In their humanoid form, they are significantly taller than humans, reaching heights of seven feet. They are typically red-haired and a popular form appears to be much like that of a giant fox.

In the millennia since the arrival of the Thorn King the Cathe were believed to have disappeared completely. Only in the last 50 or 60 years have rumors of their existence begun to spread. Sightings of people sporting paws with opposable thumbs, whiskers, and tufted ears have been reported by the rangers of Emlyn. It will be curious to see if any of these unusual people return to mingle with the rest of the non-human civilization.

Sanctuary only allows one shape change, players will have to choose between a Meer body or a cat shapeshift.
