Blacksmithing

This skill works like Blacksmithing on Grimmwold.

• Blacksmithing on Sanctuary requires the use of a crafting station like all crafting skill.
• May be missing recent updates however should the player base discover that they want those updates they can submit a request on the forums.

Blacksmithing This should function just like the skill on OSI with the following exceptions. Please update this page if you find a discrepancy.

Stratics Page

Players can craft ringmail, chainmail and platemail. Items take longer to craft as per the Crafting Design Document. SE Items have been removed Chain Armor and higher require town upgrades and later immersion levels. ML/Elven items are not yet available. Dragon scale armor is not available.

Tips for training

Start off making buckler shields, once you have a decent chance at making daggers start making them. Your ingot supply will last much longer as you'll only use one ingot per minute if you smelt the daggers back into ingots. To train at higher level, make the best shields you can make. Shields use few ingots and are a good way of training blacksmithing.

The highest skill requirement in all of blacksmithy belongs to the bashing weapon Tetsubo, with 85.0. It's been reported that crafting items of your skill level will increase skill faster than making something below your level. This, along with the long craft timer and ingot usage less than a tower shield, makes the Tetsubo one of the ideal high-end advancement methods.

The skill required to craft from special metals equals the skill in mining it takes to smelt the specific ore. As a reminder, here's the list.
