Musicianship

Strum a lute, bang on a drum or rattle a tambourine. Without a bit of skill in Musicianship, you’ll likely send your audience screaming away from, or worse — toward you.

Musicianship is the core Bard-themed skill. It is required for any of the other Bard-related skills to even have a chance of success.

A modest level of Musicianship is also required for a Carpenter to be able to produce musical instruments, which feature a 10% success bonus over NPC-purchased musical instruments. This is not a design style for our shards and an change to this has been requested.

Uses

While it does little on it's own aside from producing either fine music or fat-fingered cacophony, it's level is a key factor when attempting to perform the other Bard skills, namely Provocation, Discordance or Peacemaking in conjunction with a target's Barding Difficulty.

In addition to influencing the level of success for the other Bardic skills, it also allows a character to use the Fire Horn.

Training

Skills on Sanctuary use our Grimmwold methods for skill training, including passive gains, 2 min timer activation, no difficulty checks, more than 1300 skill points using a .spec setting, and so on. In addition, you can purchase limited training from NPCs as well as advanced " book skills" both of which are available on Master NPCs. Read More ..

• Low skill levels can be trained by one of the Master NPCs.
• The books for crafting book skills can be purchased at the Master NPCs.
• Using any of the other three bard skills; discord, provocation or peacemake will automatically train musicianship.
