Difference between revisions of "Category:Races"

There will be a selection of familiar fantasy races; elves, fey, etc. Cultures will be based on the culture of the kingdom rather than solely on the race. This will make my life a lot easier, and reduce the feeling of isolation that happens in smaller race populations. Sub-species will also be broken out by kingdom, for example, sea elves will be from sea-faring towns. There will be no under dark as its understood from EGG's drow race, but I am planning a chthonic kingdom of some type.

• Type of Races Poll

I believe that I will be breaking the races out into four main categories from which a variety of sub-species will be available.

Humans

This will include any character who was born human, regardless of if it is still human or not.

• Humans
• Vampires
• Lycanthropes - "bitten not born"
• Witches - who are a slight genetic deviation from humans

Unnamed Elven/Noble Fey

This category is for the races of people who are seen as being more then human, and are generally considered to be tall, elegant, with long hair and unusual eyes.

• Alfar of Norse myth, aka Snow Elves or Grimmwold's Trow
• Tuatha de Dannan of Irish myth
• Tolkien's elves
• Dark Elves

Muiri

This category is for all nearly purely magical creatures such as fairies, dragons, unicorns, fen tads, pooka, etc. This category is limited to sub-species which can be represented by UO graphics. A complete list of available graphics and relevant names will be made available.

• Other-kin (animals that can become human)

Unnamed Earth-kin

This category is for all giants, trolls, dwarves, gnomes which are generally considered to be connected to or coming from the earth. This race will get a shape change to one of the "taller then human" graphics that are available for some type of "hulk" out option.

Summons & Constructions

This is a general category for any character that is created, constructed or magically summoned by another "player character".
