The Avalon Accords

To be a knight is to aggressively uphold the virtues and stand as bulwark against darkness and corruption. It's to ride in the company heroes and dragons, fighting for a better world that will uphold what is sacred. The motto of the Concordat is "To Strive Toward Higher Things", and at its core is refusal to accept what is awful or profane in the world. By joining, you agree to throw your lot in with Emlyn and its knights and dragons as they seek to preserve and expand the holy virtues.

How to contact us

The best way to contact members is through Discord, we are all welcoming people so feel free to contact any one of us regarding joining, RP, events etc. Maeve's discord nickname is Caitria and will always respond to PMs.

Events

Events will be weeknights at least once a week between the hours of 6-8 PM. Unfortunately we can't commit to a single night. The best place to check for planned events is the .motd and we will endeavor to plan days ahead of time.

Current Status

The alliance is active and currently represents an association of the estates of Emlyn and allies. Cynric is the current head with the estates of Bekka, Arnlodge, Brighwell and Carigsay in affiliation. There are current rumors of opposition and hostilities with Midrvegr of the Great Northern Alliance.

Lore

The Concordat of Avalon is a home for those with a mind for upholding the virtues. The virtues include, but are not limited to, Compassion, Honesty, Honor, Justice, Sacrifice, Valor, Humility, and Spirituality. These virtues are seen as paramount for a good life and good world. Their abandonment is not only foolish but actively dangerous both to the person abandoning them but also to the society that now must endure both the taint of dishonor but the harms that follow.

The Concordat of Avalon currently boasts significant membership of knights and a minority of dragons. They are both respected and treated as equal partners in the alliance. While all races and creeds are welcomed and encouraged, the Concordat views itself as a knightly society and focuses RP on this aspect. Council and estate politics tend to resemble high medieval feudalism more so than the other kingdoms and alliances.

Story

While the turn over of power from Dragon to Cynric was not amicable, the tension between Dragons and Humans no longer remains. Most dragons have been said to migrate to Carigsay under the leadership of Taelarys, although dragon residence in Caerleon is allowed and encouraged. The essential moment of the transfer of power was Cynric Degenhard's recovery of a special sword from a stone above the throne of Emlyn, and proclamation as King of Emlyn.

Over the past few months leadership again swings twice more: First to a long standing councilor who many regard as unstable and moody, Aradel Loren. With time however, his temper got the better of him and his disgrace before the collected lords of the land gave rise to the need for a more stable presence. He stepped down not long after in favor of Maeve Ennis the Hearth Mother of Caerleon. She ascended and granted Carigsay to Aradel after the absence of Taelarys gave rise to need for its management.
